Internship description:

Restoration ATL (RATL) is seeking a Children's Summer Camp Intern to assist with weekly children's summer camp programming, and to facilitate play with the volunteers and kids. RATL leads summer camp for homeless children at the City of Refuge Monday to Friday 9am-­‐3pm that includes bible reading, verse memorization, games, play, and artistic expression to offer the children space and time to play and be kids, and to get to know God. A children's summer camp intern would aid in teaching and leading camp activities, leading and monitoring play with kids and other volunteers, and would act as a mentor and support for the children in the shelter.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assisting with teaching and leading all summer camp activities and games
Developing relationships with resident children
Monitoring children’s needs and celebrating progress

Primary Skills:

An ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic relationship builder and passionate about empowering kids and encouraging others.

  • Experience working with children
  • Comfort working with biblical principles and themes
  • Artistic experience and/or experience leading games a plus
  • Experience working in marginalized communities a plus
