Adina Lewis

After school teacher

Adina Lewis is from Savannah, Georgia. She came to the City of Refuge in 2013 as a resident and after completing the program received housing and has been living in the neighborhood for four years. Adina serves as a teacher in RATL’s after school program, leading the 2nd and 3rd grade class. In addition to her work in our after school center Adina also works with Mercy Care, another on-campus partner, serving as a Certified Peer Specialist. She has led peer groups through coping skills, anger management, and self-esteem classes since 2016, and sits on the Client Advisory board of Mercy Care and the Client Advocacy Council.

James Wells

After school teacher

James Wells is from Peachtree City, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Before coming to RATL he worked for five seasons in the video department at the Atlanta Braves. He teaches the kindergarten and 1st grade class in RATL’s after school center, and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University. In his role RATL, James most enjoys trying to make an impact in his students’ lives.

Andie Tucker

Program Director

Andie Tucker is from Atlanta and received her undergraduate degree in Global Studies from Azusa Pacific University. During her undergraduate studies, she had the opportunity to work and study in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with community development and anti-domestic violence organizations. After graduation, Andie returned to Atlanta and began working with RATL. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Development Practice at Emory University. Andie serves as RATL’s program director, and loves creating new programming that will enrich the lives of the residents and the community.

Erica Leon Cheatham

Campus Director

Erica Leon Cheatham serves as Campus Director for Restoration ATL. She studied at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and holds a Master of Arts in Religion and Intercultural Studies as well as a Bachelor of Arts from North Greenville University. Erica is passionate about local and foreign missions and has always had a heart for cross cultural and urban ministry. She considers it a privilege to serve among such wonderful people as a missionary to her own city of Atlanta. Erica is an active member of Passion City Church and resides in Atlanta with her husband David and their dog, Zoey.

Jim Ellison


Dr. Jim Ellison serves as the CEO of Restoration ATL. Jim has over 25 years of experience serving congregations in the Atlanta area, including serving as senior pastor of the historic downtown Atlanta First United Methodist Church. Jim has served on multiple boards in the non-profit community in Atlanta including SafeHouse Outreach and Historic Oakland Cemetery. Jim currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Young Harris College.

He holds an Associate of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Young Harris College, a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from LaGrange College, and a Master of Divinity degree from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. Most notably, Jim received his Doctor of Ministry degree in preaching and church leadership from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2005, where he was awarded the Beeson Pastor Fellowship. Jim and his wife, Beth, live in Atlanta, Georgia, and have two sons.

Will Ellison

Director of Development

Will Ellison serves as Director of Development for Restoration ATL. Will received his undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from Young Harris College. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Nonprofit Management and Leadership at The University of Georgia. Will's favorite part of working at RATL is building relationships with the students on campus.
